...It's when some middle-aged man says; "Videogames is pointless", "Pokemon is childish" etc. etc.
It's MY CHOICE, STFU!

Actually, I am 50 yrs. old and I love video games...mostly Real Time Strategy games like Command and Conquer Generals and Zero hour / I also love Oblivion...a Real Time RPG.  It has the most beautiful scenery and is THE most involved game I have ever played.  The depth of play is like none other.

Just so long as the game doesn't take away from life but enhances it....it is good.  I work nights and I keep the same schedule on my off days...so it is a video game or off to the forums for me.  I also Blog.  I love the computer and the internet.  I use it for everything...just being able to have intelligent discourse with others from around the world is very satisfying.

eh - video games are pointless?  Well, when I was 7, I used to play a game on intellivision (yes, I'm 37) called Math Fun, where I learned how to multiply, add, subtract, and divide.  Also, I played a very early version of a true/false game on an Apple II, for which I learned numerous facts about science and history.  So there, grandpa!  Video games are pointless?  I say that they are the way to the future! Go take your medications and complain more about how kids don't know anything.  Bah!

Pokemon is childish though.
I mean lets be honest. It was cool when I as 14 (aka a child) - the games aren't too bad, I would play a pokemon game still but still..

Video games are more of a multi age thing.
