my mother keeps saying that I should pursue relationships with the people who really do care about me. I have a best friend and an ex bf who I do think have crushes on me right now, and they've been in it for the long haul. but i'm really just NOT attracted to either of them! it seems like people who care about me i shun, according to my parents, but i can't help it if I just don't like them! I don't want to be picky and choosy, but if there's no spark for me, then what misery would I be pulling myself (and the opposite party) into? I already dragged my ex down that road once because I really just didn't like him. thoughts?
Yes, never date someone who you are not attracted to. Keep the people who care close but dating people you aren't attracted to ALWAYS ends in heartbreak.
Don't do it unless you find them attractive.
And my own mothers advice to me which I cannot stress more.
