I'm not sure what the rules are about posting links here, so I won't post or mention the name of this website I created, but I do want people's opinions.  I'm sure some of you may have used facebook or MySpace, or at least understand the concept of them.  What would you think of an entire website designed similarly, only specifically for aspies or people involved with the autism spectrum?  Well, I have created a website just like this, and I have too few users to actually consider it a website in "full operation".  Would this be something aspies would join? Or is it contradictory? I would like as many opinions as possible.

it could work but it would have to compete with already present groups on social networking giants like facebook and myspace.

Are you a programmer?

Well, I'm not a programmer in the professional sense, but I've been working on projects for a very long time.  Setting up this website didn't require much programming skills actually though, other than editing the template's HTML and CSS.  I actually used Drupal, which is really nice because it provides the basis for any type of website and then you can just use modules contributed by others for free and with all of that I created a very nice social networking site.

As for groups on facebook, etc., the disadvantage to them is that they have limitations on what can be done.  However, their advantage is, someone can stay on the same website and have information and everything centralized.  So yeah, even though the website is up and running, it's going to take a long time to actually make it "live".

I don't know man. I've seen a few of them and they get 20-100 members but then everyone stops using the site.
