I am serious about studying abroad in New Zealand. I have a few concerns though. I am very interested in the culture, and living in NZ.

How are different cultures, ethnic backgrounds accepted?
Do you all have much contact with the Maori Culture?
How is the weather?
Are people generally worried about Social Economic Status?
Is there extreme prejudice, or are people more accepting?
Is the weather generally mild all year long?

By the way, Asperger's girl, what do you do for a living?

Pretty well. There are a LOT of travelling people in NZ from overseas.
Not really.
The weather is okay depending on where you go. If you hate wind, stay away from Wellington. It seems cold and rains a lot at this time of year, summer doesn't really kick in until January, February, March.
Yes People are worried about the crisis, a LOT of people are losing their jobs.
Well in my opinion NewZealanders aren't very nice people, the guys are mean to NZ females, but they love Overseas females.
The weather is quite changeable.

I donno, nothing really. I keep blowing employment opportunities Sad

Anyway, do you ever got the opportunity to travel, and visit other countries?

Did you go to university? If so,what school tertiary institution did you graduate from, and what did you study?

This is a good topic for me since I want to visit New Zealand and see Taupo and maybe Rotorua. It's a big enough place that I don't see the point in trying to see both Islands in one visit. Maybe another tattoo to remember the trip by. Grin

I've seen New Zealand on "Globe Trekker". I never even knew NZ had a mountain or that you could rent a cabin on the mountain.

That's why the Australians call them "sheep-shaggers."

I really want to go to New Zealand for a holiday. I might get over there later this year if all goes well financially for me. New Zealand looks like such a beautiful country. I'd love to stay in a bed and breakfast cottage somewhere in rural New Zealand.

I mostly wanna go, not because most of the "LOTR" series was shot there, but because I wanna climb the mountains and live the mountain life for a while. Yes, I see a mountain and I climb it...because it's there.

You should be busy for a while, then Smiley
The Southern Alps are beautiful; I'm going to try and take the scenic train trip through them this winter.

Congradulations for New Zealand for making it to the World Cup 2010. I wonder how people down there are following their football team, if they are big fans, or if they do not really care?

Good luck to them against Italy, Paraguay, and Slovakia.
